The North Dayi District Assembly, led by Hon. Ernest Adevor, District Chief Executive, together with the Hon. Member of Parliament for the North Dayi Constituency, the Chief and people of Anfoega, Assembly Members and Senior District Assembly Officers has officially handed over the site for the construction of the Government of Ghana’s flagship Ultra-Modern 24-Hour Economy Market to the contractor, Construct Construction Ambassadors Limited, to clear the site and commence work.
The project, scheduled for completion within 36 months, is a landmark initiative under the government’s 24-hour economy agenda, designed to transform local commerce, create jobs, and strengthen the district’s role as a hub for sustainable economic growth. The new facility will comprise; 32 lockable shops, 120 sheds, Police post, Fire service post, Bank, ICT center, Day care center, Restaurant, Warehouse, Public washroom, Meat shop, Cold room and Car park.
Hon. Ernest Adevor assured stakeholders of the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring the timely execution of the project. “This market will serve as a hub for trade and entrepreneurship, boosting the district’s economy and improving livelihoods,” he stated.
The Hon. Member of Parliament commended the government for prioritizing North Dayi in its flagship projects, pledging his support to ensure the market becomes a model of modern infrastructure.
The Chief of Anfoega Gblenkor expressed gratitude to the government and District Assembly for bringing such a transformative project to the community, urging residents to support the contractors and safeguard the project for future generations.
