As part of efforts to ensure the realization of quality health services in the North Dayi District, management of the North Dayi District Health Directorate (NDDHD) held a one (1) day performance review programme under the theme, ‘Achieving Universal Health Care Coverage Through Improved Access to Quality Primary Health Care; The Tole of Stakeholders’ at the North Dayi District Assembly Conference Hall on Wednesday 21st February, 2024.

In attendance were: the Ag.District Director of health services, Mr. David Tekpor, the various programme officers from the district health directorate, selected staff from all CHPS and Health Centres in the district.

Also present were: representatives from the Volta Regional Health Directorate, the Afadzato South District Health Directorate, the Anfoega Catholic Hospital, Anfoega Traditional Council, the Ghana Ambulance Service, National Health Insurance Authority and the Ghana Education Service.

The programme was chaired by the chief of staff of the Anfoega Traditional Council, Togbe Odoom Kumato III.

There were three power PowerPoint presentations to the audience on the day.

The Health Information unit presented on the inter-district level 2023 Holistic assessment performance which saw the North Dayi District Health Directorate emerged as the 2nd overall best performing district health directorate in the Volta Region.

The Health Information unit again presented on inter-facility 2023 Holistic assessment performance which saw Vakpo Health Centre and the Wademaxe CHPS emerged as the overall best performing facilities in the district in their categories.

The representative from the Afadjato South District, Ms. Evelyn Nyatsi made the last presentation on Network of Practice (NOP) in health delivery.

The programme also saw various categories of awards being presented to staff who distinguished themselves in their performance in the year 2023 and also the best Health Centre and CHPS in 2023.

The annual performance review served as a forum to give feedback to stakeholders on the performance of the health directorate in regards to its successes and challenges.
