The menace of stray animals in the district is a problem for all Area Councils within the jurisdiction of the Assembly.

As a result, the Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit of the North Dayi District Assembly continues to educate communities on the hazards of stray animals. Community members of the district were educated on the need for the owners of these animals to confine them, or have them arrested.

However, sixty-four stray animals have been arrested within the District. The arrest of stray animals will continue to curb the activities of these animals.
