The Hon. DCE, Mr. Edmund Kudjo Attah delivered a speech on behalf of the President, His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to mark the 62nd Independence Day celebration at SS Peter and Paul R/C basic school at Anfoega. and Vakpo Secondary Technical School respectively.

The occasion was heavily attended by Hon. Member of Parliament, Miss Joycelyn Tetteh, the traditional council of Anfoega, the Police Commander for the district, the Fire Service Commander, Director of Ghana Education Service, Teachers from the various schools, Ghana Health Service, Coordinating Director, Mr. Eric Agbo, head of the various department of the assembly, the NPP chairman and his executives, school children and many more.

In his opening remarks, he extended the President’s warm felicitation to all that was present in witnessing the occasion.

Again, in his address, he admonished those present to be punctual to events and that higher productivity cannot be achieved with lackadaisical attitude towards time management.

He called for peaceful co-existence and mental fortitude to move the district to greater height.

The ceremony saw three students from Cornerstone Preparatory School, receiving a lenovo brand new laptops for emerging as the three best B.E.CE students for 2018/2019 academic year.

This is to recognize hard work and to motivate young ones to live up to expectation.
