The office of the North Dayi District Assembly through the able leadership of the DCE distributed assorted fertilizers to support farmers as part of the Government Planting for Food and Jobs initiative. Most of the farmers were victims of the Volta Drain spillage.

This is because farming communities who are located around the banks of the Volta River use it as a source of water and irrigation for their farms. He cautioned against farmers who receive these items and put them up for sale to desist from such act. He added that anyone found culpable will be severely dealt with within the confines of the law.
