The Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit of the North Day District Assembly conducted an inspection of various stores. This operation was to prevent the sale of expired items to consumers. During the exercise, some expired products were ceased from traders. Among these products were drinks, milk and biscuits.

The team also visited the Anfoega Market to inspect the hygienic condition of the food items sold. The traders in the market were educated on the importance of maintaining good environmental hygiene.

Community members are advised to thoroughly inspect products sold to them for expiration and hygienic condition before consumption.
