GREENING GHANA DAY by the President of the republic of Ghana was successfully held in North Dayi district. The launch was in Vakpo(VASEC campus) with symbolic planting in Vakpo Snr High,Yordanu,Dzana and ANFOESEC campus on Friday June 10 2022. The honourable DCE of the district also inspected some trees planted last year which were now thriving and almost 4(four) feet tall.The DCE commended Anfoega Snr High for planting about 200 trees on the day and also nurturing the trees planted last year.

Several tree species were planted including

Polytia(weeping willow)

Ofram

Teak

Mahogany

Gmilina(paper tree)

Militia.

The DCE added that several fruit trees will be distributed to assemblymen/women, opinion leaders and all the various schools to facilitate the planting process to help reduce the carbondioxide concentration in the atmosphere and produce the much needed oxygen for sustainable life on earth.
