Our mandate is to focus on disaster management, prevention and mitigation.

We educate the communities on disaster preparedness before, during and after the rainy and dry seasons. We foster awareness about disaster and their potential impacts of communities.

It is the responsibility of the office to support disaster victims when the need arises.

The office has located Twenty-Two (22) safe haven within the 11 zones in the District for any outbreaks or emergencies.

North Dayi cannot really be classified as flood prone spot but when the Bagre Dam is opened it affects some communities closer to the Volta Lake which at times destroy farmlands and homes.
